We had wonderful weather for Ledean and Martyn’s Hunley Hotel wedding.
Ledean and Martyn were married at All Saint’s Church, Skelton followed by a reception at Hunley Hotel. The sun definitely had his hat on for this lovely couple, not forgetting their pet Collie Joey!
When I joked with the family that they would be happy so long as I got a good photo of Joey I didn’t realise how right I was! I suppose I got an inkling of how much Ledean cared about animals when she brought an injured baby seagull in a box to the wedding rehearsal. (“I couldn’t just leave him could I?”). The vicar even worked this anecdote into the wedding, giving a service which was truly personal to the couple and their families.
Ledean looked absolutely stunning in her lace dress.
Father of the Bride Malcolm just about managed to hide the fact he had accidentally taken his cravat to the venue. He had to nip out and get it, Ledean’s face when she found out was a picture! Still it wouldn’t be a wedding without a minor slip up somewhere! And none of that matters when you are marrying your best friend.
I think Martyn was a little nervous, but that was nothing to how nervous his brother and Best Man Chris was.
Why would you have a ring cushion when you could use an Iron Man action figure?
Joey being exceptionally well behaved with his little bow tie!
Even Ledean’s Sister’s dog Oli got in the photographs.
Flowers by The Countryside Florist were stunning, as was the cake on the same theme by Cake Toppers of Redcar.
A big thank you to Ledean, Martyn and their families for making us so welcome. Congratulations again and all the very best for the future.
