While you were getting all patriotic and attending street parties and eating cream teas and cup cakes, I was busy photographing some very special celebrations in the form beautiful weddings. As you will see, for the first there was a royal connection…
A busy week, so this week’s blog is a little sneak peak of Sarah and Tom’s wedding. They were married at St Mary’s Church in Goathland. The church is beautiful and the cottage garden style flower arrangements in lemon and cornflower blue really set it off.
The wedding was doubly special as Tom’s father, a retired vicar, actually married them. It was a lovely moment and I very nearly shed a tear…
The reception was also at Goathland village, at the Mallyan Spout Hotel with views over the North Yorkshire moors.
And not forgetting one very special guest, Her Majesty the Queen somehow found the time in her very busy schedule to wish them well.
If only I had known their was a Ceiligh at the village hall after, I would have packed my dancing shoes (although they may not have thanked me for it later)!
Thanks to Sarah, Tom and their families for letting me be part of their special day.
