Imelda and David’s Hartlepool Headland wedding was on a day where stepping out of the car was like stepping out of a plane on holiday. Hot, hot, hot! Of course being on the North East coast we couldn’t expect a still day even so. I think a dry, warm but slightly windy day will do us all just fine.
It may have quietened down a little by now, but at the time the Headland was a Pokemon Hunting hotspot! Fortunately all were very obliging in letting us get our photographs (thank you!).
The reception was held in the beautifully decorated upstairs room at The Golden Lion.
The speeches were fun and at times emotional, with a bit of good-natured ribbing for the Groom from best man (and son) David Jr.
This is definitely the first wedding I have done where the Bride dances the Hokey Cokey with Peppa Pig and Spiderman! In fact the family entertainment was excellent, with a candy floss machine, guys making balloon animals and the characters you can see, such a great idea when there are a lot of children at a wedding (although I suspect it was as much for Bride Imelda as it was for them).
Also a well guarded secret was that the couple had learnt a choreographed first dance. Wonderful and very well executed it was too.
A big thank you to Mr & Mrs Maiden and their families for making us feel so welcome (and allowing us to join in the fun with Peppa Pig, Spiderman and Dave the Minion).
If you would like me to capture your relaxed family wedding please get in touch.
