As a very keen amateur I love to look for that different viewpoint & experiment with composition but I’ve always felt hampered by the fact that due to my limited understanding (& lack of bravery) of the camera settings, I was stuck with the image I shot – usually too dark or too light! A friend recommended this course, Introduction to Basic DSLR Photography, so I signed up. What a great day! Saltburn seafront & Valley Gardens are lovely settings for practicing Debbie’s lessons on ISO, apertures, shutter speed & depth of field. I learned a lot in 5 hours and Debbie gave me the confidence to experiment & play with the settings. If you have a bad memory, like myself, there is a handy booklet given out at the end of the day. Debbie herself is a very friendly, open person with lots of patience & good advice, I look forward to any future courses she offers. If you’re considering this course don’t hesitate, just book it, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Just a quick one to say how much I enjoyed the course on Sunday – feel more confident now that I actually know what the camera is doing and what the settings are for! Off to the lakes shortly for a few days so I’ll be out practising – weather permitting. Chris
