Put simply, I love weddings!
My advice to all my couples is to pause every now and then to take it all in, the day can go by so quickly. That is why I believe quality Wedding Photography is so important. It is very special for me to be part of your family occasion and it is great to know that my images will be used to remind you of your special day. I take time to get to know you in the run up to the wedding so that we have a good rapport on the day itself. In fact I am often mistaken for an old family friend, which I take as a compliment.
I got started in photography when I was given a medium format film camera just as most professional photographers were making the move to digital. Although I now also shoot on digital, I have fond memories of film and can continually be heard saying I must use it more in my personal projects (I really must!).
I have recently started running a one day Basic DSLR Photography course. I am loving sharing my expertise and seeing people’s enthusiasm and confidence grow through the day.
When I am not shooting people I spend time with friends and family, attempt to tame my wild garden and play the ukulele.
