It was a little breezy when we set out to get some photos of Holly and Willow on the beach at Saltburn, but that didn’t seem to concern them. We were soon looking for “big rocks” suitable for the best sandcastle before heading into the gardens to play house in the park. I love the vibrant colours used on children’s clothes these days. Not forgetting the cheeky grins when the girls didn’t think I was looking!
The serious business of making sand castles!

It is that time of year again. Winter woollies located and heading for Stockton Riverside for a fabulous fireworks display. Maybe I was a bit keen this year as I was only the second photographer to arrive at my chosen pitch (a full hour and twenty minutes before it started). It had the advantage that the fireworks were framed by the impressive Infinity Bridge, but the music designed to go with the fireworks doesn’t really reach that far. Having said that there was a good atmosphere and I got chatting to lots of photographers, including local Landscape Photographer Paul Downing Photography who first encouraged me to go along last year.
The jury is out on whether these images top the ones I got last year, but there are a few goodies in there I hope you will agree.
Sadly the usual gridlock trying to get out of Stockton put a bit of a dampener on things, but I had gone prepared this year and decided to wait it out whilst catching up on a bit of gossip and having a cuppa (yes I did take a thermos flask!). A very well done to all involved in putting on and supporting the display.
